LIME: Visual inspection, integration, analysis and communication
LIME is an easy to use and lightweight 3D viewer for high performance visualisation and interpretation of meshes and photorealistic textured models created using, for example, lidar, photogrammetry, and structured light scanning. LIME is a virtual environment for interpretation and measurement, novel 3D rendering, and integrating different 3D model, 2D image and geometric data. Create your 3D environment and present it in unique ways - from static screenshots to interactive 3D presentations. The main features include:
- Import of common 3D model and elevation data formats
- Handling massive textured models through out of core level of detail (LOD) rendering
- Visualisation of terrain and image properties (dip/slope, dip direction/aspect, brightness/contrast etc.)
- Interpretation and measurement (lines, orientation planes, panels, points of interest)
- Placement of supplementary objects (e.g. photos, logs, georeferenced images, interpretation and geophysical data panels, surfaces)
- Multi-layer data overlays (geophysics, hyperspectral, annotations, interpretations) and advanced layer blending capabilities
- High quality presentation (screenshots, custom views, animation paths, stereo)
- Creation of virtual field trips and course material in 3D
